SO. Guess who just got a secondhand PSP for ~70 USD - that has a broken joystick thing (still usable) and came with no instruction manual/charger cord? And also bought no games?

Yeah. That'd be me ^^a

Anyone wanna be super helpful for me and give me a basic run-down? I've got it connected to my apartment's wireless already, so that's one step down, but I'm guessing the second is either going to be "Get a gorram charger for the removable battery, since the one for the device doesn't seem to be doing much," or "Get a memory card that's more than 32 MB for the love of pancakes." Failing that, recommendations for not-entirely-expensive games and the like would be A+

(I did get a PSP/DS/DSi charger at Best Buy on the way home, but I can't for the life of me tell if it's doing anything yet. Either they all come with a removable internal battery, or I just saved ~40 USD, but I have no experience and cannot tell. Help would be much appreciated.)

Definitely get a charger and a memory card, as I recall they're like $20 for 2 GB and you really need them if you want to play games on the PSN.

Aside from that! My top two games for the PSP are (and this is totally predictable and biased):

Final Fantasy Tactics: War of the Lions (don't get the version they sell on the PSN, it's the old badly-translated 1997 version and you want the sexy re-released 2007 version!) because it is my favorite RPG of all time ever ever everrrrrrr. :(b

Dissidia: Final Fantasy for just pure fun, although if you have a broken joystick you may have trouble with this because the joystick is your primary movement direction in-battle-- although I think you can change it to the touchpad in the options.

I'm not sure there is a difference? It plugs into the PSP and recharges whatever battery you have in there, so.
