Libraries are love

[Scene: Socchan walks into the library around 20h10, as is customary for her M-Th. In a more recent custom, she can be seen walking over to one of the library computer terminals to check the in/out status of a books she has been looking for.

Copy one: Due [date]
Copy two: On holdshelf
Copy three: Recently returned
Copy four: Due [date]

Her eyes scan over the information once, then double back to copy three. At once, the young woman can be seen walking briskly to the children's section of the library (not voiced is her nostalgia at the way, even in a rebuilt/different building, the children's room smells the same) and locating the "Recently Returned Items" shelf.

After a few minutes of searching, she concludes that the book is not there. As a last-ditch effort or what may be desperate hope, she checks the new books shelf. There, in all its glory, sits the book in question.

Rejoicing inside, Socchan snatches the book and goes to check it out before anyone else can possibly "take it away from her".]

And that is how I checked out the copy of The Titan's Curse currently sitting in my Orange + 75 bag ♥ Soon I shall read it, and better learn the context of the quote in this icon.

I love kiddie lit.


On the Anime Iowa front, I got all the Minor badges separated/punched out, and a good two thirds of them sorted into the box in numerical order with the other badges. I should be able to nail the remaining third tonight :3b ...I have no idea when plans commence tomorrow (if they're earlier than 15h00/16h00), and can only hope that I'm up and dressed for a reasonable value of "on time". Caaaaandyyyyy, talk to meeeeee! It's okay if you don't know, I just want to know if you don't know! Ditto to if you can't come. And it's none too likely I'll see a computer tomorrow. Consider calling me at least? ♥♥♥? THERE WILL BE NO DEFRIENDING IF YOU CAN'T MAKE A CONVENTION, I PROMISE.

Unrelated note! Have made it through part twenty-one/mini-vacation-thing in Shoebox. DO THEY EVER KISS AGAIN, THAT'S ALL I WANT TO KNOW. They have stupid, stupid, stupid issues, and I want very badly to knock their heads together until one or both of them comes to his senses.

It's okay Candy I promise really T^T Though I will miss you greatly, it does mean I won't worry about you as much, since this would be your first convention and I don't know how often I would be free or how comfortable you'd feel doing things on your own and stuff.
