So. Watched episode eight today.



F'list, I gotta know.


THE HELL DID YOU MAKE ME WATCH THIS ANIME FOR ANYWAY.

I mean, yes, drills and giant robots and shounen retards, but still! I don't want to have to go into denial this soon in a series, it's not healthy!



That said, I'm already mentally re-writing the series so That Didn't Happen. And/or writing AU ending fic where It Isn't Like That.

In short, haaaaaet.

Edit: FOR THE RECORD. If I was going to drop the series like it was out of fashion, I would've done it right after episode eight, and not gone on to watch nine and ten in hopes of it getting cheerier. So no, not dropping the series. Watching through to the end.

I-I actually thought it was a appropriate and kind of needed for the movement of the plot and story-wise... yeah. H-he wouldn't have been able to fit in with what else happens in the story, sadly enough.

I understand how it was necessary for plot movement for him to, yanno, be gone, but are you sure he couldn't have just been, Iunno, kidnapped or something? Something less... final, at any rate DD:

Actually, no. It had to be this way. This is another person's story. And if this event didn't happen that other person wouldn't have come to realize who he was and what he was capable of. Because he was always following behind that person, always in that person's shadow. Sadly enough, in a lot of ways the other person will always be in that person's shadow, but at least he has the will to carry on now, despite everything.

I dunno. I just... can accept it easier. Even if I did bawl when I watched that episode. D:

I, uh, think I'll have to just watch the whole series through myself and then decide on my own. *i-is still watching it more for the plot than the characters, whut*

Most of my feelings of loss probably have something to do with my opinion that Yoko got a Raw Deal ^^a

The plot is a wonderful thing to watch it for, but you're going to get attached to the characters whether you like it or not--THIS IS THE KIND OF SERIES THAT DOES THAT TO YOU. EVIDENCE: EPISODE 8.

*mutters* Still probably gonna mention it in my next post too, to make sure I don't have to keep saying it.

I will not deny this! H-however, ten episodes in, my interest in the plot still outweighs my interest and investment in the characters.

Which is why I'm totally going to write at least one flash fic wherein it is All A Lie and she and Kamina can naow go have hot sexx0rz. After that, I will probably be able to live.
