Iiiiice D:
Dec. 12th, 2007 08:50 pmAnyone out there who has ever wanted to know what it's like to live in a city made of crystal or glass is invited to A) beg me for pictures, or B and less practically) TAKE THE DAMN ICE FROM ME. It's gorgeous in so many ways, and part of me can't help but think of the outer limits of the Snow Queen's lands or of Crystal Tokyo (yes, I reveal my inner fangirl dork) - but not at all of Narnia, because that is how I roll. However, as pretty as it is, I really don't appreciate the fact that it knocked the power out several times between noon and eight pm in our house last night.
Moving right along! I found an article the other day on APA.org suggesting that love may be a primal drive rather than an emotion. I've actually felt that way for quite a while now - probably since Chobits or thereabout, and now I have to admit to myself just how many of my major philosophies and/or revelations are because of CLAMP, and GUYS I THINK I HAVE A PROBLEM.
I'm hoping to have my holiday cards sent out by the end of the week (possibly as late as Saturday morning on my way to visit Candy), so I'll be waving that sign-up post at you again for the next few days. Worst case scenario, I'll have the "rush" cards (cards that have a limited time for certain addresses or need to go farther) out that day and get the rest out by Monday, but I'm hoping it won't come to that.
I'm also seeing a lot of requests for Christmas music on the ol' f'list, so hopefully I'll be able to upload some of the Quire's stuff in the near future. In the mean time, anyone who hasn't seen/heard the selection is invited to browse the few free mp3s at A Very Scary Solstice.
Two finals left to go :/

Date: 2007-12-13 03:24 am (UTC)I recommend 'The Pirate Christmas' and 'Hey Frickin Nonny' for the Christmas mood.
For fun, I really like 'It's Can(non)!' aka 'Hermoine Granger, the Pirate Queen, the Pride of Gryffindor!' and 'Close Your Eyes (Fantastically Wrong Remix)' aka 'the Shonen Tantei's lullaby'
