soc_puppetIt seems that the internet will continue to thwart me in regards to my acquisition of episode 3x17 of Avatar, sadness ;_; I guess I'll just have to wait until Monday for it to be mine. Or, better yet, rip it from YouTube! *goes to snatch*
In the mean time! What thoughts I have on 3x17 through the final can be found here:
3x17:
I am totally making a Koizilla costume like that for an anime convention and YOU CANNOT STOP ME. And that's all I can really say, as that's about all I really saw.
Sozin's Comet:
There is so much good to say about the finale, that I cannot possibly write it all down in the time I have at the moment. Instead, I will go over the one, eensy-weensy teeny-tiny thing that I was disappointed in: [whited out so as not to rain on the parades of anyone who doesn't want to see/hear even minor complaints] the lack of kickass old lady representation in the White Lotus Group D: I mean, yeah, it totally had lots of kickass awesome old men there, but come on, where's the badass old ladies who live to make their grandchildrens' lives more full of terror/awesomeosity, huh? I mean, the only badass granny-aged lady I can think of off the top of my head was the original bloodbender, but I'm still sad they didn't scrape together a couple of incidentals for the finale DDDDD: *makes some up in her head instead* [/white-out]
Other than that, the finale was everything I could have wanted or asked for after the fantastic run this show has given. Not that I would've minded another, say, four or five episodes in the series total (they stretched the book for an extra chapter for the finale, they totally could've devoted more time to episodes that needed it!) but this was definitely satisfactory. Also, LIONTURTLE adsksalkdfj; ♥_♥ I knew this show was too good for the island to be on the back of a regular turtle, I knew it!
Things I want to find out about:
* That nice big plot hole that wasn't resolved on screen yet, AKA Zuko's mom, AKA Roku's daughter(?!)
* Any of the waterbenders that were still alive in Fire Nation prison being freed (I sense the potential for much awesome)
* What the hell did they do with Azula, anyhow?
Oh, and I am completely happy with what happened to Ozai, if anyone asks. I'm glad he ended up alive at the end, so he can rot in Fire Nation prison, with only cockroach-mice, pigeon-rats and mosquito-fleas for company, while his son and brother and theirdorky friends put the world back together the way it's supposed to be - balanced.
I am totally watching the second running of it today. *nod, nod*

Date: 2008-07-21 06:20 pm (UTC)From what I can tell, they seem to have stopped making the action figures in general, so even if there's no girls, they at least aren't flooding the shelves with a dozen different versions of Aang and Zuko anymore. (On that note, I am currently regretting not having bought a Zhao figure, as it would be perfect for the Koizilla cosplay.)
It was crazy good, man X3 Loved it.
