One day, Shin'ichi learned that, if he looked pathetic enough while lurking outside the stairs to the Mouri Detective Agency, one of the waitresses at the diner would let him have a slice of their day-old pie. While he didn't turn it down, he also learned that Ran's was still his favorite.
