Has Livejournal still not appeased the masses yet?

(Then again, the continued presence of the facebook option being clickable on lock posts makes it seem unlikely.)

There's been nothing from them since the one staff comment and the teensy "We're looking into it" update last Wednesday. Even if they had, LJ still has a bad track record, and it's only a matter of time before they pull more shit; I figure it can't hurt to make an invite dump.

Incidentally, comments have maxed out on that post, and I'd bet dollars to donuts that at least 95% of them are "Do Not Want TwitFace".

*chuckles* The last thing we need is a wee twittering bird blagging about LJ posts. Or facebook for that matter. I guess it's useful for the odd post you want to paste ALL OVER TER WEBS but really? For most people it does look like an inconvenience.

If LJ would just set a post's comments to default to the poster's decision (aka locked = no share nuthing here) like it does for the main post once you put friends lock on. Then again, it gives everyone the same control over the content they create.
