Plot bunny hutch

soc_puppetThese are plot bunnies I'm not going to get to immediately but still want to talk about because otherwise they will keep hopping around my brain and misery is better with company. They're mostly Teen Wolf these days, because what even is my life, but there's a few other fandoms as well.
Yarncraft fics:
* Sequel to Stitch Two Together, in which Tavros crochets things for people. I need an overarching plot for this one (Stitch Two Together was a teambuilding sort of thing, and also a romance sort of thing), and then I should feel ready to go. Originally it was going to be Tavros crocheting plushes of all the lusii, but then I thought of the kids and I was like, how the hell would that even work? And then more recently it was going to be Tavros romancing his various quadrantmates, except I couldn't think of anything good to give anyone, particularly romance-themed. And now I am completely out of ideas.
Edit: Ooo, maybe Tavros could be a mystery crafter! Except wait, everyone already knows he crochets, and the finished product is pretty distinctive from knitting, so maybe not. Or maybe I'll just have to make an entirely separate story for Crocheter!Tavros and scrap the sequel thing; that could work.
* Teen Wolf crochet thing, which starts out with Stiles finding out that there's such thing as yarn made out of wolfsbane (because if people can make yarn out of bamboo, they sure as fuck can make it out of monkshood), and he can use whatever advantage he can get in the whole supernatural clusterfuck that his life has become, so he finds a supplier on a supernatural crafting forum, starts learning about various crafts, and eventually settles on crochet, because it's my fic and I can. Possibly the title will be a pun on "witchcraft", or possibly it will be called "In The Round", though I may use that for something else.
Whatever else happens, at some point Stiles will make some offhand comment about being a spark and some other forum user will up start calling him "Hikaru". Stiles will be, "What, like Sulu?" and privately think that's pretty cool, because Sulu is awesome. And the forum user will be like, "Sure, why not, lol!" And then the next day there's a huge file in his inbox and/or a PM for him with pictures of some redhaired anime girl wearing fantasy armor and standing next to a wolf that's on fire. (Crossover puns are some of my favorite, shut up.)
This also needs a plot, though now that I think about it, it could be the perfect setting for some nice internet-related identity porn.
* Circle of Magic crochet fic, because it is the natural fandom for such a thing. I have no idea what's going to happen, I just know I want to explore the idea of crochet magic. I'll probably have to puzzle out how I want crochet magic to work before I actually get to anything, and then I'll still need an actual plot and also characters, most likely OCs because everyone else is doing stuff.
* Marvel movieverse fic about Darcy Lewis learning naalbinding, I seriously have no ideas here. Just. Naalbinding fic!
Various Homestuck fics:
* I still totally want to write Bracelet && Necklace || Bucket (alt title: Daisy Chain) because what's the point of having a nice, long, detailed outline otherwise? Not a lot, that's what.
* Ditto Cinderkat, except I've already got some of that written and just want to finish it.
* Finishing Pheromone Woes would also be good. I just need to slap together an epilogue and then I'm done. That's it! No more! The fic will be finished. *whine* Why is it always so hard for me to finish things?
Various Teen Wolf fics:
Just assume Sterek for the default on all Teen Wolf fics, okay? Okay.
* The Mpreg Abortion fic(s): Okay, there's definitely going to be at least one of these, and I may actually go all out and write all three. The first one is still only half- to two-thirds written, and has stalled slightly, though maybe if I scrap a little bit of it I can make it work. The first also has a title ("A Serious Case of Bad Timing"), as does the hypothetical second ("Hostile Takeover"), but I'm not sure about the strictly theoretical third yet. We'll see what happens?
* I am absolutely never, ever, in a million years going to write the Teen Wolf/Magic Knight Rayearth fusion/crossover that the above crossover joke suggests. I just wanted to share my pain.
* Okay, there's this one that would be really fucking long and require a metric butt-ton of research, wherein the pack eventually runs a rescue for Huskies and Malamutes and likes to set the dogs up as canine members of werewolf packs whenever possible. It would be told from two timeline perspectives, one in the "past" wherein we find out how the whole rescue gets started (Stiles finds a really depressed looking black Husky or Malamute or mix at the shelter, that is possibly also a tripod, and Scott or somebody explains how it'll probably never get adopted because Big Black Dog Syndrome and also it's a boy and potentially also it only has three legs, and the dog just looks so pitiful, and possibly reminds Stiles of someone, that he absolutely cannot resist adopting it and may have to talk his dad around, depending on timeline stuff), and one in the "present" where a pack some miles away is sending in a representative to try and find a good match for a potential canine pack member, told from an OC's POV.
Reasons this is probably never going to happen include: I would need to do the aforementioned metric fuckload of research; I would need to come up with some OCs; I still need an overarching plot; and it would be really fucking long.
Possible solutions include: Cutting it way down, so there's a "present" fic with canine matchmaker interviews and a "past" fic about how the rescue got started, or just one ficlet with two scenes: one in the "present" and one in the "past", the latter of which would have the advantage of me not necessarily actually having to write from an OC's POV but really doesn't live up to my hopes and dreams for the story.
I've got a friend who is head over heels for animals, and especially dogs, and she has thoroughly enabled me to write it (or a serial-numbers-filed-off version), but again: see Reasons this is probably never going to happen.
* The Magical Girl AU: In which, six or more years ago, some asshole (*cough*Kate*cough*) attacked the local extra-super-magical werewolf population and locked at least two of them in another dimension, and now one of them has managed to break out into his home dimension and is looking for the person who can help rescue his family/sister. Stiles will have a Red Riding Hood themed magical costume, because fandom eats that stuff up with a spoon, and Derek will mostly look like an extremely grumpy black Husky/Malamute puppy, but will be able to turn into a ginormous wolf for fights and stuff.
Meanwhile, the local Evil magic contingent will have found out that Derek is in the home dimension again is trying to hunt him down, primarily by putting nasty spells on people (mostly local teenagers) to make them attack him and/or Stiles. It is Stiles and Derek's job to get them back to normal/healthy/wev, which may or may not involve Derek biting them. There will also be burgeoning Sterek romance, because of course there will, it's a Magical Girl AU, romance is practically a prerequisite, with a side order of prerequisite angst over said romance for some ridiculous reason that makes no sense. (I've been toying with the idea of a prophecy over how the magical warrior Derek recruits is supposedly the perfect match for the heir to the Hale line, which is his sister and not him, only then it's a misinterpretation or some shit and really it was Derek all along? Something that gives him the idea that Stiles has to end up with Laura, at any rate.)
This one could possibly maybe happen, I would just need to catch up on the series and maybe get a cheerleader or two. Or maybe I could scrub off the serial numbers and make it an original magical girl story, IDK.
And that's all I have at the moment, which is way more than enough, really. Well, all the fanfiction plunnies I have, at any rate.
