Now, to find a physical fan mail address for the Colbert Report. (I know, I know, I should really just ask the reference desk at the library, but I keep forgetting! Also, social phobia, even if my mom is a librarian.)

There's a couple of addresses listed on a fansite for the Colbert Report which I would be happy to pass on if you'd like?

Also, I can't think of a non-awkward way to say "hi - I'm a lurker mclurkerson"...so, hi :) I think I found your blog via Shakesville but I can't remember exactly what prompted me to seek it out...I think it might have been mention of a recipe or crochet related though.

XD I used to hold semi-annual Lurker Days, where I would share extra content, make banners, and invite people to delurk here and elsewhere - or to keep on lurking, if they preferred it. Baking and crochet are certainly things I do a lot of these days, so it's certainly likely. Anyway, hi! It seems equally strange to say "welcome" when you've been here a while, but I certainly hope you feel it :)

Thank you for the welcome :) I get just as nervous messaging people online for the first time as I would approaching them in real life. Well, maybe a little less. There's less blushing certainly! :)

I know exactly how you feel, bluh. It's one of the reasons I created Lurker Day in the first place. I'm a lot more comfortable online in general these days, but I still usually wait for what I think is a good opening to introduce myself.

Just got a thank-you card in the mail from Stephen. It was very generic and not even signed, but at least I know it's not languishing in the post office anymore.
