soc_puppetHaving a pretty damn decent time at ICON. Not attending a whole lot of panels, but whatever. I did end up selling some stuff in the art show, including (FINALLY) my patchwork dragon. Also saw an absolutely gorgeous clockwork hermit crab (with a natural conch shell!) that I coveted like nobody's business. I plan to see if the creator is interested at all in making some sort of trade, because I would be all over that.
Coming up soon-ish: A review of Cinder by Marissa Meyer. I've been meaning to write one for ages, and then today at a panel there was someone who has/runs a book review blog who gave out postcards that included a list of book recs, and it was one of the titles on there, which has (or will) spurred me to action.
Short version of my upcoming review: Compellingly written, and a hot mess of racism and ableism. Tune in later to find out why!
