Anti-choice trollery in fanfic comments

Welp, I just got my first legit actual flame on A Serious Case of Bad Timing (as opposed to concern troll, which I had before, and I'm still slightly disappointed I didn't include a passive-aggressive smiley face in my response to them). I'm pretty sure the flamer didn't actually read the fic, they just read the summary and went ahead and posted an angry (relatively short) screed in the comments.

TBH, I'm kinda amused by it? And slightly amazed that it took so long to get a real flame. And a huge part of me wants to write them a custom alternate ending in which Stiles doesn't get an abortion, and then [bad, bad things happen]. But in the end, I really don't think that's the person I want to be. Less for the flamer (because I would take some serious vindictive glee in doing so) and more because there are other people who read the comments who might be triggered by such an ending.

So I'll probably just link to imnotsorry again. Though I'm not particularly tempted to include a smiley face this time. (Maybe a wink-y face, though; that could work!)

You'll probably do okay, but the following basic info will help: (CN for murder, death)
* Derek is a werewolf, one of only a few survivors after a hunter burned his house down with his family inside.
* Stiles' mom died of an illness when he was young. His father is the local sheriff. The magic thing is mostly fanon.
* Dr. Alan Deaton is the local vet, who knows way too much about supernatural creatures and is frustratingly vague at the best of times.
* Lydia is the girl Stiles had a crush on for some eight years. He had a ten-year plan to get her to date him.

I think everything else should be pretty self-explanatory? Brief warning that the fic itself starts in the almost-immediate aftermath of a sex pollen incident, so uh. There's that. I like to think I handled the actual decision making pretty well, and the majority of commenters seem to bear that out, so.


Yeah, I still cackle about that occasionally. But wow, holy shit is exactly right on that last comment. (CN: Miscarriage, unhappy ending) I am super tempted to write them a custom alternate ending in which Stiles miscarries, except there's no natural exit for the fetus, so it ends up going septic and bad stuff and they have to abort it anyway. And then his relationship with Derek can't handle the strain, so they break up, and possibly end up on different ends of the country. And I would cackle gleefully into the sunset, smug on my own terribleness. Except then I think about people who might be triggered from reading that alternate ending, and my desire to be not-terrible to them outweighs my desire to be terrible to the anti-choice troll, so. Maybe I'll come up with something else instead.
