(Actually Star has done some work with chocolate. I'd swear the stuff doubled in the pot, because the candy came out about the expected size, but there was chocolate ev.er.y.where.)

That is exactly how chocolate works. Somehow, there's always enough to get all over you and everything around you, even when you swear there's only enough for the project at hand. Now imagine making it in industrial quantities...
