Pokemon pride shirt ideas

Sister-in-law has requested something more generic/rainbow Pride-y, but specifically not Eeveelutions (though I may do one of them anyway, because Eeveelutions are (deservedly) super popular). I thought I was just going to go through and find six Pokemon in the classic six stripe colors, and then a new idea hit me yesterday: Type-themed pride combos!

Ideas so far:
* Water-type Pokemon spraying out water that's refracted into a rainbow
* Grass-type Pokemon growing a rainbow of flowers
* Fire-type Pokemon setting off a rainbow of fireworks
* Electric-type Pokemon powering a neon rainbow sign

I'd love to do one for each type, but there are a lot of types that are rather ambiguous or difficult to conceptualize for rainbow stuff outside of "Make a rainbow-colored team". A few spitball ideas:

* Ice-type Pokemon with a sheet of ice that's refracting light into a rainbow
* Rock-type Pokemon with rainbow gems
* Fighting-type Pokemon wearing rainbow sweatbands and stuff
* Psychic-type or Ghost-type Pokemon levitating items in rainbow order
* Flying-type with a rainbow of feathers floating overhead
* Normal-type Pokemon creating an actual sign and/or flag; something easy to replicate IRL; Smeargle might be good for this

I thought about doing a bunch of Vivillon in rainbow order for Bug-type Pride, but now I like the idea of just doing straight-up plain pride flag recolors of Vivillon, so I need to think of something else there.

* Dark-type Pokemon with bright-colored gear? I feel like there's a joke to be made with the ever-popular Absol and "bi/gay disaster."

Oooo, anodization is pretty +_+ I'm not sure how to communicate it effectively, though :/

...Okay, I am 100% doing something super cool with Absol and Big Queer Disasters. Probably recolors? Absol has that huge expanse of white to work with, after all.

Hmm; I definitely like Fairy-type with flowers, but I already did flowers for Grass-type. Oh! Maybe I'll switch flowers to Fairy, and give Grass-type a big pile of Berries! That has definite potential :D


I can clearly see that my desire to give each type its own distinct thing is going to give me a headache :|a

It's definitely tough especially if you're trying to communicate those color shifts with lineart >.o
