Yeah, I get most of my original fiction "reading" done in audio format these days. And by "most" I mean "nearly all". Good for quiet chores/crafts and long commutes, but less so for fanfic consumption and/or creation.
I think my most recent non-audio original fiction books were Effie Calvin's The Queen of Ieflaria and Daughter of the Sun? Which aren't as racially diverse, but are more queer, shorter, and quicker to get engaged in, IMO. (Again, the Sorcerer books are amazing, but are not popcorn books. I had to actually pay attention a lot of times with them and not just coast. ...Mostly because of the language, I'm pretty sure.)
