Ten hour shift at work. I ended up having a minor meltdown around four hours in. Two more days opening before my next (actual) day off.

I'm really sorry your work has to be a bitch. Are ten hour shifts even legal? What the fuck. I hope your day off arrives early! and that you get shorter shifts.

They're legal in the US, apparently; no idea about anywhere with actual reasonable labor laws and stronger unions. My parents are also horrified that I don't get paid overtime for any hours I work past eight in one day. Overtime is only for any hours I work past forty in a single week - which doesn't happen often, since I'm a part-timer, but happened last Thursday. (My workplace starts the week on Friday and ends it on Thursday, since we're in the hospitality industry and that keeps people from going into overtime right away on busy weekends. *eyeroll*)
