Three super-quick fixes for Party Crasher
Jul. 19th, 2019 09:36 pmFix the first: Chloe's father isn't running away from her because she's using him as a makeup doll, he's running away because she roped him into her Ladybug-and-Cat-Noir LARPing as an akuma. Ditto for the butler. No more transmisogyny, yay!
Fix the second: Nino doesn't invite the girls because he specifically wants some guy time with Adrien. (Consciously or subconsciously, he totally knows that any time he, Marinette, Adrien, and Alya are doing an activity together, Alya will go into matchmaking mode, and he actually wants to spend some bro time with Adrien outside of school once in a while? Dunno why he didn't just tell Alya this, except that possibly he thought she wouldn't approve or would try to override him because the opportunity was just too good for Matchmaking Shenanigans. Or possibly just brain fart, we've all been there, I'm sure.)
Fix the third: Marinette and the girls have figured out that the guys are lying, and while the other girls are upset, they're willing to write it off. Marinette, for consistent characterization, declares that she's going to go Investigate, and possibly drag the guys back by their respective ears to help like they promised, dammit. If we're in Super Mega Hyper Fix-It Mode, the other girls back Marinette up on this, because breaking a promise at the last minute with terrible excuses like this is Not On; if we're in Accepting Some Portion Of The Status Quo Fix-It Mode (ick and also sigh), the other girls probably roll their eyes and accept it, 'cuz Marinettes Gonna Marinette. Possibly they are divided between the two reactions; Alix in particular seems like a "Go find out what's going on and then drag their asses back here!" type.
