There are two things I want very much in the world of fanfic right now, and they are:

1) Trans girl Nina Lahiffe (name optional, especially if you can find a feminine name that ends in -no), her super supportive friends and girlfriend, and gender compersion.

2) Lila salt fic starring Alya, wherein Alya slowly figures out for herself that Lila is a lying sack of shit and quietly goes to work, ending in an announcement on the Ladyblog apologizing to her readers for not doing her due diligence as a journalist and using that same announcement to out Lila for as many of the horrible things she's done as Alya can possibly find. (Optional: Alya goes to Lila first and wrangles the start of a redemption arc out of her in exchange for not publicly dragging Lila more than she has to in order to clear up journalistic stuff. Double optional: Alya goes to Lila with this offer and Lila turns her down flat.) I just... want some Lila-gets-found-out/Lila salt fic where we can see Alya doing the right thing? Someone else can nudge her in the right direction to get her started, but I want to see Alya's journey here. She's still got some growing up to do, like all of her classmates (and almost every other character in the show, let's be real), and I get why a lot of fandom is mad at her, but I'd also kinda of like to see that character growth happening for once?


Anyway. I also absolutely want to see a fic where Nina's friends help her find a gender presentation that works for her and help her re-design her costume to fit her new look and all the warm and fluffy feelings that go along with that. I guess I just had more to say about the Lila-and-Alya Salt Fic.

1) Nina would have to time her transitioning as a superhero and as a civilian very carefully. It's probably Ladybug, but possibly Cat Noir (and could hypothetically be any of the other heroes, the kwamis, and/or Master Fu) who suggests that she publicly transition as a superhero first, then claim that Paris' turtle-themed superhero is who gave her the courage to transition in her civilian life. Thereafter, all of them are looking for any and every opportunity to get Nina in costume and fighting crime. As a bonus for Nina, she'd get to find out how her parents react to someone transitioning, if she doesn't already know.

(Possible bonus sads/angst: She has been super repressed about her gender identity, in part because of her missing older brother. No matter how wrong the notion, a part of her believes that it would break her parents' hearts if they 'lost' another son, even if what was actually happening was that they were discovering they had a daughter.)

2) My kingdom for Alya getting on-screen positive character growth in a Lila Salt fic!

though also. speaking of sads. canonically Fu is pushing 190. Word of Astruc is healthy living; obv bullshit. obv truth: Turtle Miraculous. which, y'know, if Fu's alive because he hasn't gone more than a few hours without that bracelet on his wrist in decades…

I mean, I could go there? But I usually prefer my sads to not involve character death, so I'm going to plug Marianne into the equation and headcanon that exposure to the Miraculous in general has a life prolonging effect.
