Current Dust Plunny: Stealing Cat Noir's Pyjamas.
ANYWAY. Marinette, Alya, and Nino are visiting Adrien's house one afternoon in winter so they can work on a school project together. They finish up relatively on time, and Marinette is prepared to go home (if not necessarily happy about having to leave Adrien), but apparently the weather has other ideas: It's so bad out that even walking the two blocks(?) home is a bad idea. It's even a bad idea for the Gorilla to drive her!
Which means it's sleepover time! Marinette can live with this. Marinette can very live with this. Adrien is also excited, because he's never had a sleepover before, or been on one for that matter. (Possibly Gabriel is also actually out of town ATM, because why not make things easier for myself?)
Anyway, they all get to work getting ready for sleepover stuff, like picking movies and seeing if there's popcorn around and arranging for all sorts of snacks and stuff (the Gorilla is quite helpful with this), and Adrien goes about trying to find pyjamas for all of them from his vast stash of fashion stuff. Everyone gets super cute/awesome PJs, and Adrien's even like, "You can keep those if you want, I usually only ever wear the same three sets," or something.
(Marinette is ecstatic. PJs! From Adrien! That he has possibly even worn at one point! Is this not bliss?)
Everything's going swimmingly until Marinette comes back from a bathroom break and happens to see a set of PJs in Adrien's hamper. A very familiar set of PJs. In fact, she's pretty sure she made those PJs, and didn't give them to Adrien. Hell, she's pretty sure she didn't give them to their recipient as Marinette!
Marinette panics, swipes the incriminating PJs, and stashes them in her backpack like a guilty secret. (Which they kinda are.) Somehow, she manages to muddle through the rest of the sleepover without freaking out too badly or weirding out her friends too much.
The next day, the roads are clear enough for everyone to get home safe, yay! Marinette makes a break for it and dashes up to her room where she furtively examines The Evidence (TM).
These are the pyjamas she gave to Cat Noir. The pyjamas she made for him. The ones he said he loved and even mentioned wearing on several different occasions. The reversible ones with Cat Noir black-with-green-trim and kitty accents on one side and Ladybug red-with-black-spots and ladybug accents on the other side. In fact, didn't he just say again how much he loved wearing them the last time she saw him? And why would he lie about that?
Conclusion: Cat Noir is Adrien Agreste.
Second conclusion: She has just stolen Cat Noir's pyjamas. He is going to fucking flip his shit when he finds out—unless she can return them without him noticing.
Queue Mission: Impossible theme. Marinette—Ladybug—has a mission. And she's going to do it.
(And get caught in the process and have to explain herself, because it's past time for her lucky streak re: stealing stuff related to secret identities to run out.)
Alternate possibility: Ladybug tracks down Cat Noir to confess everything to him that night, since it's his night for patrol and she knows he won't turn down her company, and really, the sooner she owns up to this shit, the less RSD will feel like a ton of lead bricks.
