Winter Hell Weeks are half-over, now I just gotta get through this weekend and then classes will be done and at least it'll be quieter in the bakery.
In the mean time, I'm looking for music recs! I’ve finally given up the fight against Christmas music (and especially before December) and have decided to try a new angle: Asking for other denominations’ religious music to be included in the lineup. “Hallelujah” is not enough, especially since so many Christians are unaware of just how Jewish it is and keep assuming it’s a Christmas song (which, WTF).
If anyone has specific recs for me, I would sincerely love to hear them and attempt to get them into rotation at work! Or, hell, even just the names of musical traditions associated with different religious and ethno-religious groups; I know to ask for Klezmer, but that’s pretty much as far as my knowledge goes. I also might be willing to accept Christmas music in other languages, as I shouldn't be able to tell as easily that they're Christmas songs and, even if I am, can at least be distracted by linguistic stuff rather than going down the Christmas Song Grinch hate spiral.
I now return to attempting to get lots and lots more rest before I have to go back to work tomorrow and continue Winter Hell Fortnight.

Edit 2: Added Wintertide by Alexander James Adams and Heather Alexander and Solstice Night by SJ Tucker courtesy of
alexseanchai, Woody Guthrie's Happy Joyous Hanukkah by Woodie Guthrie and the Klezmatics courtesy of a different Tumblr user, and The Christians and the Pagans by Dar Williams courtesy of a lucky find on a secondhand CD. I may be adding The Roches' Christmas album, so I can get some more Christmas music in the mix and prevent grumbling, and also so I can make a joke about the only "roaches" allowed in the kitchen are Maggie and Terre and Suzzy.
