Amigurumi pics

Two commissioned amigurumi.
Commissioned by my BFF, her familiar in Roommate C's AD&D campaign. They use version 3.5. Sadly, the image in the monster manual is from a newer edition, which was rather frustrating for me, but it worked out in the end.

Face-on. This image probably has the best coloring of all four of them, s-sigh. Anyway, for extra brain-fuckery, its eyes and the inside of its mouth are made from light green baby yarn 8) [That is, yarn that's designed for use in making blankets/clothes/etc for babies. Y-yeah.]

Three-quarters view. I really wish I could get photos to turn out better, because there's some very subtle things I managed with this piece that I wish I could show off properly :/ Still, maybe if you squint you'll be able to make out the eye-ridges and the almost-nose-bridge.

Profile view, with the wings drawn forward. Hair!Tentacles, yay :3b

Its mouth opens and closes :DDD This is great for acting out its attacks, and for acting out it being a giant annoyance X3 I forgot to untuck its chin-tentacles for this pic, but whatever.
Now please make a will save to see if you've been paralyzed with fear from its scream ;)
Commissioned by one of the new reg staffers for AI and an all-around cool person :3b Before joining staff, she would volunteer sooo much time for us, and she always registers as a sponsor (the expensive, extra benefits ticket), and is generally pretty awesome ♥ Anyway, she said to me at the last meeting, "I would seriously pay you $100 for a Xellos doll. I would even pay $30 if you just make his head." And so I said, "Okay! :Dbb" I went pretty much all-out with him, 'cuz yeah, I want her to get her money's worth. (And if she wasn't actually serious, I can still probably get a good price if I put him up on Etsy or something. But I think she was serious, so!)
It's unofficially "due" on Saturday (that's our next meeting time - and our staff recruitment meeting! If you wanna be an AI staffer, come see us!), so I was racing a bit to finish it, but I think he's finally done. Or virtually done, at least. Nothing big left to do, at any rate; just a fiddly detail or two.

Front and back, with cape and bag. I kinda screwed up a tiny bit on the cape's embroidery, but now I can't find the end of the yarn to correct it /)_(\ I'll probably tweak it a bit with hot glue when I get a chance. The underside of the cape should also be a vaguely blue-ish color. I even crocheted an extra cape to stitch to the underside of this one, but when I tried it I decided it was too stiff/bulky for what I wanted, so I took it apart and just stitched the black bits together :/ Maybe if I were to paint it instead...

Front and back without cape and bag. It really depends on what I'm making whether it's more difficult to just make it part of the body or to make it removable. In this case, removable cape and bag were easier than making them attached.
His bangs got totally out of order in these pics :( Still, I bet his future owner probably won't mind having an excuse to put it back in order whenever she can...

Xellos[s]' cape and bag, with a cameo by Xellos[s]' right foot ;) In case anyone wanted to see what they looked like on their own.

Well of course I had to give him fully articulate fingers! How could he do that otherwise? I'm still planning to weave some wire in his fingers, so they can hold the positions they're put in better, but that shouldn't take too long, I think. They stay on their own pretty well already, which is pretty cool, IMO :)
Now that I have the project that's unofficially due on Saturday out of the way, it's time to rock the hell out on getting my charity projects made/finished. Sob sob, I have eight-and-a-half things to make T-T A-at least I already have patterns for four-and-a-half of them, and Xellos[s] and Karkat give me a rough pattern for the other four? [/self-pity (I'm really not too upset over this, I just like to complain X3 I mean, it is a little more than I thought I would be making right away back in the beginning of January, and the timing WRT Valentine's Day and my job at a flower shop is a bit rough, but I'll live, really. I got myself into it, after all :P Besides, I relish a challenge :3b)]
