With six fresh loaves cooling on the stovetop for later, I am now finally almost through that original 20lb bag of bread flour.
...Right on time for Dad to request other types of bread. And I think I might still have two loaves left to go as well? Still.
(TBH, I'm just glad the rye bread seems to have turned out okay - at first glance, at any rate. The bread recipe I've been using has a variation where you replace 44% of the bread flour with whole wheat flour, so I just did that with rye flour instead, on the basis that they'd have similar gluten levels. Still! I was definitely worried for a bit.)
Anyway, it looks like I might need another ten pounds or so of bread flour. Yay.
