Edit 2: Five masks that I've had pinned and waiting to be sewn are completed, two of my dad's masks now have nose wires added, and I've cut forty-one new pieces of cloth to be made into adult sized masks. Once I get through those, kid sized masks and ear savers are on the agenda.

I felt physically ill when I found out. And then like a lead weight had descended on me when I broke the news to my parents. The little snippet Copperbadge wrote helped me a bit, and there are already people finding ways to encourage action and to honor her memory, but man...

I reblogged a bunch of stuff, but right now I think my focus is going to be on hopefully actually making all of those masks I keep meaning to make. At my current job of 'Covid Checker', we do have free paper masks to distribute to folks when they come in, but we're having to be pretty sparing with them, and I've seen a lot of people come in and need to take a mask to go, or immediately replace the mask they're wearing (presumably old) with a fresh one. I've already invested in the materials; now I just need to invest in the time.
