Rules have been adjusted at work, and now no one is required to wear a mask, regardless of vaccination status.

I still plan to do so in most of the hotel, but have decided after much thought to forego doing so in the bakery proper. For one thing, there's only two other bakery employees, both of whom were fully vaccinated before I was, and there's not usually a whole lot of outside traffic coming in. For another, I've been having a difficult time with the heat at work; I did a trial today of not wearing a mask in the bakery, and while it felt kinda weird, it also made a marked difference in my ability to deal with the heat. My hypothesis is that the mask pre-heating the air I was breathing increased my internal temperature; the fact that scarves do basically the same thing in winter supports this. And in an environment with several large ovens going at any given time, as well as the fact that I'm currently coming home to non-working AC, I'm making the decision to prioritize keeping cool in a relatively safe environment. I'll still be masking up to the best of my abilities/memory in the building outside the bakery, but in the bakery itself seems tentatively okay.

I'm doing the same thing at my job. I don't wear a mask around the mostly vaccinated staff in the office (mostly because my glasses kept falling off my face while I did paperwork or climbed stairs), but I still wear one when I go to the bank, the grocery store, or anywhere else where there's a crowd of maskless people I don't know.
