soc_puppetWhoever decided that marble with vanilla-chocolate swirled icing was a good idea for 700 individually packaged cupcakes to be made in under two weeks by a team of one part time worker, one full time worker, and one full time worker who spends a third of their time in another department, who also need to fulfill other orders in addition to keeping their standard menu items stocked, needs to go back and re-think some things.
And/or come help us out in the bakery personally. I'll take either. (Preferably both.)

Date: 2021-07-28 03:33 pm (UTC)I kid, I kid 😜 Yeah, it's been a rough week-and-change, not least because I'm off for AnimeIowa the dates the cupcakes go out (and an additional 700 individually wrapped cookies, because one dessert wasn't enough, but at least those are fairly simple) and so can't help if we don't get everything finished on time. And then there's a banquet scheduled today for 250 people, and there was a pop up banquet we found out about only a few hours in advance of on Monday, where I had to scramble and BS a dessert because I didn't want to use up anything we needed for today or any of the banquets yesterday and have to make even more stuff, and...
Yeah. It's been ...not great.
