RrrrrrrrRRRRRGGGHHH.
Jun. 25th, 2009 09:00 pmShe hasn't even moved in yet. How can I possibly be having problems with my future roommate already?!
Clearly, I should've based my decision on whether or not to extend roommate status to her on more than ten minutes acquaintance. Or gone with my gut feeling. Or just moved the fuck out this year instead.
I do not want to be her go-to person on the phone. I hate phones. Unfortunately, Guy-Roommate is doing his camp counselor thing right now, and Gal-Roommate is practically moved out already. (If I am the only person in the area that she feels comfortable calling, I may scream.) New-Roommate's cats are moved in pre-emptively (because her previous landlord found out she was keeping them against the rules and threw a shitfit), though she's taking them with her briefly tomorrow for some vacation thing. Her cats are nice enough, I guess, but I really do miss having the door open to my room more regularly. And also, I don't particularly like being her social outlet when she comes to visit. I like my time to myself D:
On the subject of apartment features, I might just be a little bit testy because the AC still doesn't work and it's been consistently in the 90's (that's 30's for you Celsius people) of late, meaning our room block is rarely less than eight-five degrees. Fans do little to help. (I worry about my rats, because this is about ten degrees or more above their 'ideal' temperature.) Also, my meds have run out, but I haven't made it to the pharmacy yet, partly because there's something I need to clear up there when next I go, and partly because I have to rely on public transportation just now and visiting places with AC is slightly depressing.
In less whiny news, I finally got a copy of River's Daughter, which I did enjoy. I'm also being plagued by a couple of origific ideas (if you remember my Fantasy Art WIP post, yeah, it's those two ideas), which could possibly be a complaint, but only in the best possible way. 'Cuz I love being bothered by creative ideas.
Anyhow, back to Demitri Martin and playing Pokemon hacks to distract myself from horrible mood things. ...Oh wait, comedy show's over. Ah, well, I'll find something else to watch.
