soc_puppetThe week before their convention, massive anime con Anime Central announced that they're lifting their masking restrictions. They still strongly encouraged masking, but it was no longer mandatory. Oh, and they're not offering ticket refunds, and it's probably also too late to get refunds on most hotels and travel plans.
They've since walked the decision back somewhat, so masks are required again—but only in select areas, like panel rooms. The hallways, lobbies, and restrooms are fair game for rat-lickers. Because immuno-compromised people and anyone who lives with them have suddenly developed the ability to teleport between panel rooms and also no longer need to pee. /sarcasm

Edit: Holy shit, this Twitter thread. Dumpster fire indeed. If someone was actually trying to kill a con, this would be a good way to go about it.
