Today I went out with my parents to—gasp—see a movie in an actual theater!
It was the Bob's Burgers Movie, and I pretty much only agreed on the understanding that we were going at a non-peak time anyway; there ended up being a total of nine people in the theater for the movie, including us, all pretty well spaced out. I also had an N95 on the whole time, so I think I was about as safe as I reasonably could be. I might be willing to brave something similar for Spiderverse 2 when it comes out.
In other news, the weather has taken a turn for the miserable. Given that it's June, it's at least appropriate for the time of year, but that doesn't make me like it any more. The local Pride celebration is on Saturday, and my weather app is currently predicting it'll be under 90°F, which is within the realm of reasonable around now, IMO. I do believe I'll be taking a walk through it this year, maybe stop to hear the Quire.
Not without a mask, though. Definitely gonna keep that up.

Date: 2022-06-15 05:25 am (UTC)Oof, yeah, it's getting hot. I'll take hot over cold any day, but the 99° yesterday was pushing it! I'm planning on going to our Pride as well, the last weekend of June, so we'll see what the temperatures are like.

Date: 2022-06-16 04:05 am (UTC)I'll admit, I like the logic of "Too cold is better than too hot, because you can always add more layers but there's a limit to how many you can take off", but it can be hard to believe in the armpit of summer.

Date: 2022-06-16 04:23 am (UTC)I've definitely heard that particular logic... but when I get cold, it doesn't matter how many layers I put on or how many blankets I'm under. I'm still cold! It takes literal hours for me to warm back up!
Hot is rough too, but I am lucky that I don't have much humidity on top of it. Even when I'm miserably hot, I do not long to be cold, lol.
However, extremes either way get exhausting, especially when they carry on for long periods of time. (Climate change isn't helping!)
