Back to slowly catching up on Miraculous Ladybug. Just watched Reunion, and I have two notes on it.


Okay, first, Alya's insistence at the beginning of the episode about Marinette separating her superhero duties from her romantic ambitions. It's probably not projection/guilt over how everything went down in Risk/Strike Back, but boy, could it be!


Second, Dark Grimalkin? Trans. Or GNC. "Grimalkin" is specifically an elderly female cat. (The first dictionary I found this word in specified a cantankerous old she-cat, and suggested it was a feminine counterpart to curmudgeon.) Proooobably not something the creative team thought about, but it's canon to me now!


Edit: Alya is the MVP of Elation (AKA Glaciator 3), and anyone who disagrees can go step on a Lego.

That second one is canon to *me* now, too. I'm leaning toward GNC (Joan said he when referring to Dark Grimalkin, I believe), but trans is definitely a possibility as well. Hmm.
