Record room progress

soc_puppetI have all of the records sorted to my satisfaction, woo-hoo! They're not necessarily sorted to my dad's satisfaction, but he can do that on his own, and miraculously has already done a bit of that!
Since the records have been "sorted", there's now a good amount of table space in the record room, so I've started sorting out some of my own random boxes of stuff there. I've gotten through two or three that were in there already, as well as a huge plastic tub with a lid; I was very glad to have finally sorted through the plastic tub, because it meant I could move my corn sack materials into a container that mice are much less likely to get into!
I've managed to sort out and get rid of a number of old papers from college classes, and some other bits and bobs. Other random papers (mainly Xmas cards from CFUDers and other old fandom friends) are in my "keep" pile; I'll have to figure out a proper way to store them. I also found what I'm pretty sure is all of the recipes I got in class when I was getting my bakery certification! I've got them collected into a folder right now, and have plans to someday get them typed up on my computer perhaps. (They were available on the class website for a while, but I lost access to it after I graduated, and also got soooooo bored downloading individual recipes. In my defense, there were a lot of recipes to download! I sincerely wish they could have been collected into a zip file or something and I could've just downloaded that instead, but at least I've found the paper copies again.)
I got rid of a lot of old scribbles, but am keeping a few as well. I've got a large box of stuff for Goodwill, which I know is not 100% a great place, but it's possible that some people may get some use out of this stuff, so I'd rather it didn't go directly to the dump. I did dig up a crochet pattern I'd lost track of a while ago, though! It's a sauropod that I originally made for a younger cousin of mine, and am thinking of making again sometime soon. Maybe tonight, so I can re-test the pattern before I type it up for keeps.
The space where I want to put my chair is pretty well clear, but the space where I want to put my TV has a ways to go yet. I also want to at least sort out all of my boxes of random stuff in the one corner of the room before tackling the future TV area, and am holding onto hope that I can keep at least some of the table area relatively clear. We'll have to see what I can manage. There's a bunch of stuff that I put in the laundry room temporarily that I'm hoping to move out as soon as I can get the one corner sorted and stacked to my satisfaction; it's next on my priority list since we desperately need the space in the laundry room.
