soc_puppet...I miss my beta-reader. She left for camp shortly before I left for Europe, and isn't back yet.
T-T... I want to send ficbits to her for beta-reading... I want to talk 'shop' with someone who can talk shop right back without long character/plot related explanations... I want comments on my work that actually suggest ways I can improve... Heck, I'll admit it; I'm selfish and want reviews, too--but I'd feel so guilty if I posted the bits I've finished before she's given 'em a once-over, it's just not worth it.
I probably abuse my privileges as an author a bit, but I do try and make up for it; I sent her stuff at camp--just a four-leaf-clover and an itty bitty bit of fanart, but still, it shows I'm thinking of her. -_- I also threatened to type up the ficbits I'd finished, print 'em out double-spaced and send 'em to her the old-fashioned way for editing since she has limited access to a computer, but I didn't actually do so. More for timing reasons than because I wouldn't want to bug her at camp with work, but still.
