I love my friends. I really do. I especially love giving my friends really weird nicknames. But that's a different story.
Lately I've been talking a lot with a particular friend I met three, four years ago at camp and haven't seen in person since. (I have nicknamed her Yorochan) We always have a lot of fun talking, and conversations quickly degenerate into amusement. Anyway, I swore a while ago I would post some of the good bits here, partly because they're funny as hell and I want to share it, and partly so my little brother doesn't feel left out ^_~. Therefore,


Yorochan: hmm, addiction, or obsession... or are they all rolled up into one big happy blob of goo?
Me: I vote for goo.
Me: Big blobby happy goo.
Me: The melty yummy happy kind.
Yorochan: your description of goo upsets me slightly, i more found it slimy, sticky...gooey kind
Yorochan: i don't eat my goo though...
Me: I'm thinking of the 'melted vanilla ice cream' kind of goo myself.
Yorochan: oh that's good stuff
Me: That or the massive puddle of self-goo I turn into after reading something _just_ _right_, which, even if it doesn't taste good, sure as heck feels nice.
Yorochan: i was thinking like Dr. Suess's oobleck gone wrong

Me: *grins* Hey, I gotta practice writing sometime.
Me: And I've forgotten what oobleck is ^^;... Oh, well.

Yorochan: cuz i know how many people suffer from these acute disabilities, oh the stories i could tell

Me: We could totally come up with a twelve-step program.
Me: And then not complete it.
Yorochan: of course, that would end the support group

Me: Why, the very point of _having_ a twelve step program is not to do it!
Me: People who join the Society aren't interested in getting better--they're interested in drowning their sorrows, relating to others, comparing notes, socializing, and Sharing the SHINY!!!!!

Me: Well, I usually don't think it's very polite. But there are extreme cases in which I feel it's appropriate ^_~

Me: It's really interesting to read about 1st Lieutenant Hawkeye. 'Specially 'cuz I live in the 'Hawkeye State'.
