soc_puppetIt occurs to me that my current down-in-the-dumps-ness might also be related to my current reading material. Which I am enjoying immensely! But tonally it's on the more tense end of the spectrum of what I enjoy reading these days, and so is my current audiobook, and since my mood tends to be heavily informed by whatever media I'm consuming at any given time...
...I may need to take a break and switch to a comfort re-read.
(Which sucks, because I genuinely do want to read the rest of this book and find out what happens right now. But! Emotional health first.)

Maintaining an even keel

That’s where fanfiction can come in handy. (Although there's lots of angsty stuff there as well).

Date: 2023-12-27 05:42 am (UTC)Hmm; on the one hand, I'm slightly between fandoms; my interest in my most recent fandom has waned significantly, and nothing new has grabbed my attention just yet. On the other hand, I can always re-read my own stuff and old favorites, and there's also the original fiction that's been knocking at my door the past six-plus months!
