Word on the grapevine is that Automattic will be attempting to merge Tumblr with WordPress. I don't know when, I don't know why, and I cannot imagine I will ever learn how, but uh. There's that news, I guess.

Edit: More on the possible migration from [tumblr.com profile] jv, a former Tumblr/Automattic staffer.
