Word on the grapevine is that Automattic will be attempting to merge Tumblr with WordPress. I don't know when, I don't know why, and I cannot imagine I will ever learn how, but uh. There's that news, I guess.

well that sure is A Baffling Decision

considering they’ve been turning more and more towards keeping tumblr locked down (its soo difficult to view anything without an account these days) something which *extremely* does not work with the WP model i’d assumed they were pushing tumblr towards the social media side of the line it straddles, rather than the blog side. but i guess not???

Oh jeez, I forgot this was even a thing 🤦‍♀️ I wonder if it's still going to happen, especially in light of Tumblr's rehauled searching options.
