There was a Tumblr meme where someone sends you a blue heart emoji and you respond with the summary of an AU fic? Anyway, I did that, and here are some of the results:
Chloe actually takes the redemption route in Origins:
You know that bit in Origins where Chloe gets dropped off the Eiffel Tower and is promising to change her ways if only someone will save her? AU where she actually follows through on that. Kinda like the opposite of
zoe-oneesama’s Scarlet Lady AU (no shade, BTW, it’s an awesome AU). It chronicles Chloe’s slow journey to try and become a better person, including her triumphs and pitfalls (she still upsets people enough to be akumatized more than a few times while she’s still getting the hang of things, and her mother coming back to Paris sets her progress back more than a little). The fic would end around Style Queen, wherein the following occurs:
- Chloe still finds the dropped Bee Miraculous
- She spends at least an episode’s worth of time trying to decide what to do with it, torn between showing off for her mother and doing the right thing
- Ultimately, she calls out her mother for being terrible and returns the Miraculous to Ladybug at the same time, rather than transforming publicly
- Andre stands by Chloe, even as Audrey is re-akumatized
- Andre gets glitterized in place of Chloe, allowing Ladybug to help his daughter escape
- Ladybug actually recruits Chloe to be Queen Bee, and they save the day together
Chlonette and/or Adrichlonette optional.
Adrien the Dreamer
AU where Adrien accompanies his parents to Tibet and ends up being the one finding the Butterfly and Peacock Miraculouses. Adrien bonds with Duusu and becomes the Peacock wielder to literally make friends out of sentimonsters. He ends up being the one in a weird coma-like thing, while his parents switch off being Hawkmoth to try and lure the Ladybug and Black Cat Miraculouses out in the open to save their son.
Marinette is still Ladybug, but the Black Cat goes to Kagami, because Adrigaminette, fight me. Still in a weird coma, Adrien manages to send sentimonsters to help Ladybug and Kuroneko fight the akumas his parents are sending, because his weird coma thing is different from how Emilie’s is in canon because some handwave bullshit reason IDK. Possibly Adrien can also communicate with them in dreams?
Anyway, those are the basics.
A Cardcaptor Sakura inspired AU!
Wherein Marinette is Sakura, Alya is Tomoyo (but with more conspiring and less designing), and Adrien is Syaoran. The Miraculous have been scattered throughout Paris to help keep them safe through the war, and one day Marinette comes upon the earrings at an antique shop while looking for sewing materials. She awakens Tikki, who informs her that she needs to collect the rest of the Miraculous to prevent disaster from falling. Meanwhile, Adrien discovers the ring while looking through some of his mother’s old things, and Plagg awakens to give him the same charge.
At first, neither of them is too worried about it, because if the other Miraculous have gone this long without causing trouble, why would they suddenly start? Except now something is awakening the Miraculous somehow, and it’s causing the new users to act out in dangerous and unpredictable ways.
Their first experience with another Miraculous is with each other, wherein they have to figure out if the other person is actually one of the dangers they’ve been deputized to stop; they do eventually realize that they’re on the same team, but only when a third Miraculous starts going berserk and they have to work together to stop its user and revert it to its inert form.
All the while, the evidence is mounting: The Miraculous aren’t going berserk on their own; there’s something, or someone, who’s pushing the kwamis past the brink for their own agenda, possibly using a Miraculous of their own. To keep Paris safe, Ladybug and Cat Noir will have to track down this rogue Miraculous user, before either of them becomes affected.
