Okay, so I tried to post this yesterday, but the default date on the computer at school was COMPLETELY WRONG >_<. I mean, March something 2040? WTF. And then the computer ate my post so I couldn't even copy and paste it and mail it to myself to post later, so this is basically a re-creation.
But that's not the point. The point is, on Thursday, my picture was in the paper ^___^.
See, behind stage for the cosplay at Anime Iowa a reporter and a photographer were lurking. They wrote a story about weirdos who go around in costume (which I did not read because I am lazy and so really do not know what it is about). In the big picture in the article, toward the back on the right-hand side (reader's right, not stage right) are 'Kenchan and myself. (FYI, 'Kenchan's the one with the cat ears.)
Also in that picture, to the viewer's left of 'Kenchan, is the second Ed I met and the one appearing in the cosplay whom I called a micro-chibi and a bean.
Me: *with hidden glee* My, he certainly looks small in that picture.
Ed: WHAT?! WHAT WAS THAT?! WHO'S SO TINY HE DOESN'T EVEN TAKE UP A PIXEL ON A PAGE?!?! WHO'S SO SHORT HE DOESN'T EVEN SHOW UP WHEN YOU TAKE HIS PICTURE?!?! HUH?! HUH?!
Me: *with slightly more obvious glee* That just never gets old! I don't know why, but it doesn't!
Anyway, that's the story.
Also also, I need an idea to write for original fiction. Possibly something to do with sailing, but I don't know enough about that so probably not T-T. Because I joined a writing club and need to have something written for the next meeting and I'm pretty certain fan fic won't quite count. *resolves to research sailing* And anyone who decides to contribute an idea? NO STRAIGHT ROMANCE. And by that I don't mean no het romance, but no ideas that are _just_ romance. Okay?
Randomly, there was a hawk sitting on the telephone wire that leads to our house the other day. It was probably a red tail (which is almost definitely the wrong species) but my first thought was, "Hello Watson ^_^." Anyway, between that, the two deer a while back, the coyote a looong while before _that_, the pocket prairies where Dad plants prairie wildflowers and we don't mow and whatever owls decide to stay for a few hours, our back yard is practically a nature preserve.
