Winter Program

The plunnies, they have returned to me, and I love them so for it~

Going to the dojo tonight to have a Bo lesson. I've been avoiding it, because things that give me a 1:1 ratio of attendance to anxiety attacks would probably do that for anyone. Going tonight because the Winter Program is coming up, and I signed up for it more than a month ago, knowing at the time that I was probably tempting fate.

Probably going to make my dojo hiatus official shortly after the program (this Friday D:). It sucks, forgetting why you started doing something, and then only going because you feel obligated. Plus, it's shopping season, and I work in retail now, so Mark'll appreciate that I have Saturdays free. It won't be forever, I know; I will go back someday, because there is a place for me and because I love the arts themselves like no tomorrow and the people there are damn cool, but I will be taking a break to remember myself.

(Also note: anyone who has ever thought of fighting with a polearm and a sword at the same time? Or equipping a character with similar? Stupid idea. Unless you like the idea of an early death/creating Samurai movie extras.)

True. Still, samurai did often use two swords at once; one was shorter than the other so to be more easily wielded by the left hand. (There were, apparently, no left-handed samurai -_-a) Anyway, there's no way he can use the sword effectively if he's holding the staff. If he wants to use the sword, he drops the staff (or throws it at his opponant).
