WRT the basement flooding: We've got people coming in and taking a look at it. Someone was already by this morning, but we may have a few more. My room is almost completely empty of things, and I will likely spend a good chunk of tonight sorting through many of them into keep/sell/trash categories.
WRT my International Breads final: This is super exciting! My bread took forever to finish (that was unexciting) but it turned out incredibly delicious :Db I shared some with some of the hotel staff, and one of them thought it was good enough to take to the manager of the hotel restaurant! There is the slight possibility that some form of this recipe will show up on the actual hotel menu at some point (probably with lamb). I am quietly flailing.
WRT craft stuff: The local roller derby team is hosting a craft show at their May bout, and I officially have a slot! As soon as I PayPal them the money ($25, which is beyond reasonable) everything will be good to go. Here's crossing my fingers for selling stuff! And also warming up my crochet hooks to make a lot more kittehs and such for the show :3b (Thankfully, most of my yarn escaped the basement flood unharmed, as did most of my stuffing. Most of my crochet hooks I don't have to worry about anyway.)
Edit: Just looked at the calendar to write down the craft show date. Turns out I shoulda looked earlier, because it's the same date as the Quire concert. I would probably be guiltily ducking out of the concert if I hadn't just tried out for a solo last week; I love singing in the Quire, and we've got a lot of great pieces this semester, but the opportunity to make money with my finances so low is pretty significant. I'll be writing in to ask if someone else would be allowed to staff my craft table, and if not, there's a possibility I'll be turning down a solo opportunity :/ We'll see what happens. (Sob sob why did it have to be I's The By, sob sob.)
