soc_puppetOkay, quick warning for you folks. There may actually be a *gasp* religious post on this journal sometime in the near future. Not this one, though. This one is about different stuff.
For starters, I picked up a couple of books at the library yesterday: Pyramids by Terry Pratchett, our good buddy, and The Zahir, Paulo Coelho's latest ♥ I haven't actually gotten farther than one page on the first (and none on the second) but I did have to stop and quote.
Great A'tuin, the only turtle ever to feature on the Hertzsprung-Russell Diagram.
This is for anyone else out there who knows what the HR Diagram is. Power to the geeks!
On that note, have a GIP :D Love to anyone who can recognize who I'm talking about here ;) (Hint: this is the summer triangle.)
Also, the plunny from the last post is being surprisingly good about letting itself be written. I can't help but wonder if it's an Icka thing, or an individual plunny thing. *ponders this*
Edit: Forgot to mention! Something else I wanted to talk about in this post...
My chatting/instant messaging habits: bad. I am very bad at just signing onto programs I download, especially without prodding D: I miss out on a lot of fun conversations because of it, too ^^a This is not a personal thing. This is a thing where... Okay, I'm not really sure why. Part of it is it takes a lot of energy, part of it is I know I'll be really reluctant to sign off when I should, and part of it is that I'll be trying to surf at the same time, and surfing and conversing at the same time =/= easy. So if you want to see me online, by all means, come by and poke me; I'll do my best to sign on and chat with you :O
