And now for that RL update I promised.
Didn't actually manage to finish the next Communications chapter before I left Kirkwood (mostly because there was some homework I'd forgotten about, but thankfully managed to finish), but was granted a ride home by a classmate. Kiddie lit has stolen my heart, methinks.
Was literally this close to making an announcement post Sunday-ish that I wouldn't be in town over the weekend, since my parents scored tickets to Prarie Home Companion in Minnesota. (And if I didn't spell the state right, shoot correct me. And also if I didn't even name the correct state.) It would've included questions about whether anyone on the f'list is living there, and could I persuade them to drop by the State Fair or the Mall of America sometime while I was also there and such. ....And then I remembered that Lurker Day is also Saturday, so I turned my parents down. Which makes me sad, because it means I'll be missing a chance to see at least one friend in Minnesota (er, I think), but I'll live, since I'm not exactly PHC's most rabid fan. I like the ketchup/rhubarb pie commercials and that's about it ^^a *shame* I might still have gone, but I have no laptop, so there's no way I could've made a masterpost for Lurker Day entries while I was out, and I think I'd prefer to do that on an as-it's-happening basis. I also couldn't have posted my own stuff, such as banners linking to said masterpost. So, another time then, I guess.
....I have also made the unfortunate discovery that Froeman (spelling unknown, and not much cared about unless my RL friends don't recognize who I'm trying to refer to) is going to the same Kirkwood campus as me =_= I pray that I will not run into him oftenor I will be forced to change my identity and flee town, in that order.
Oh! In-town people! We need to plan get-togethers and such! I currently have Fridays open (except when I schedule appointments and such on them, due to aforementioned openness), as well as Saturdays. Sundays are negotiable (though Quire starts up soon (and it's open to everyone!)). Options for activites are things like playing cards/Mah Jong/etc, and forcing Pat to watch The Nightmare Before Christmas (as she apparently has not yet).
Edit: ...May Fred Phelps* never find out about Yaoi Con.
