Low in fat, high in ConTent** :DD

The story of a boy and his tentacle monster... A tentacle monster and his boy... You get the idea.

I've only got one short story for it at the moment, and it's only looking like it'll be around four pages-ish, and I promise no more than that, but the premise has potential for more. Like the story of how the two main characters met and got together, and more details about the tentacle monster's homeworld, and a host of other characters. Anyway, it's eating my free time, and I'm having fun with it, so even if I get no more done than the potential four pages of this one potential story, then I'll call it worth it. Though it would be some level of awesome if I could open up the world to the entire community and people would do stuff with it--like create their own tentacle monsters and humans to play with. And there could be cameos and all sorts of fun stuff. Still, that's a bit more on the 'pipe dreams' level, so I'll just stick with finishing this for now. As for the rest, we'll see what comes.

....Also, I completely fail at life, because the tentacle monster still needs a name. The human has a name, but not the tentacle monster. ...I was thinking maybe Ichabod, but, well, there's issues with shortening it. Because while it would be a wonderful/terrible pun, we've already got Icka covering it on the one hand, and on the other ...do I really want to call him 'Icha'? In addition to the squid jokes, that would open up a whole host of Icha Icha Paradise jokes that I don't know if I could deal with. But I do like the whole starting-with-i thing, so maybe Isaac. Maybe. Still thinking. Or maybe Ishmael, though I'd deserve to be harpooned if I did.

Oh, and just to make the punning worse, the tentacle monster species/race/whatever name is, I'm pretty sure, going to be Kukomi. Because of a Japanese emoticon. (Spell it like so: hiragana ku, katakana ko and mi. You should get the picture.) ...'Least, I'm pretty sure that's how it was spelled; it was either that or kunimi.

Well, my sis had a friend named Issac . . . and everyone called him Icky. So that might work with Ichabod, too, since it's something that's not Icka. XD You could even have a random nickname. For instance, my old college roommate thought my last name sounded like ramen noodle, which she then shortened to Noodle.

But don't worry too much about it. At least he won't be Tentacruel, right? Tee hee . . . pokemon . . . . ^^

Hmm, good point. And I might just go with no nicknames if it comes to that. I really do like the name Ichabod here, I think. (My online handles haven't been anything like my real name for years.)

You're in luck, then ^__^ Should be done by the end of the week, if not sooner. Probably sooner, as I really only have half of the last page left to do, but I'm not naming any dates in order to trick my subconcious into doing it faster. Shhh, don't tell!

No, not yet, though now that you mention it, Icarus does have a certain appeal... I may go with that.
