*stares at friends page* ...Oh, goodie. Only have to go back 75 entries this time. *mutters unkind things about her little brother*
Anyway, the real reason for this post is as follows. Yesterday, I did what is becoming my traditional Sunday thing, and went out with friends (Chris, Pat, and Thalia this time - we missed you, Joan!) to a movie - Pan's Laberynth, as previously mentioned, which was good if more than a little freaky - and then to a bookstore and a cloth store. We rounded it off with Taco John's (thank you for the name correction, Pat ^^a), which was tastier than I expected. While at the bookstore and the cloth store, I spent more money than I expected (the expected amount being, well, no money what so ever). And then today I went out to K-mart, because I figured that as long as I was going nuts, I may as well go really nuts. The two days together helped to prove something I had already suspected:

Nickelodeon has my number. And I'll bet they have it on speed dial, too.
Featured here are: my Aang and Rokku action figures, a $3.00 box of Avatar 'holo-foil' valentines from K-mart, an Avatar-flavored(?!) AirHeads candy and the "flip book" stickers I got with it, and the four books I got at the store yesterday. They were $5.00 each, and I might have been able to resist if it had been just a novelized version of the show and not, you know, packed with little tiny details about the individual cultures of the various nations. (And then it turned out to be "Buy Four, Get The Fifth Book (Of Equal or Lesser Price) Free!" for the category the books were in, so I had to scramble for something that didn't cost more than they did. Ended up getting a small packet of MadLibs.) Also pictured is the half-yard of cloth I broke down and bought while at the cloth store that I will be using with my Katara costume - just as soon as I finish making the rassa-frassa water pouch.
So yes, Nickelodeon well and truly has my number, and it has it but good.
Edit: I'm still debating whether or not to scan the books in question for the masses, as they have tasty extra info and are also cheap as all hell. By which I mean "not the best made in the entire world."
Edit 2: ...God help me, I'm attempting to convince Mal (Firefly) that coconuts are imported to England by swallows. ...And that, to the best of my knowledge, is my only interaction with him to date.

Date: 2007-02-05 09:51 pm (UTC)...Also, you and Thalia were looking at brushes yesterday? Would that be for art or for make-up? And in either case, how fine/skinny do you want 'em? 'Cuz I just saw some brush sets at Tuesday Morning at fourteen for $15.00.

Date: 2007-02-05 10:26 pm (UTC)At K-mart, yep :3 with the K-mart logo on 'em and everything. I haven't actually opened them yet, but there were some samples on the back, mostly with the kind of bad puns and jokes you come to expect from cheap-oh kids valentines. My favorite, and possibly the only one I actually liked instead of just thinking it was lame beyond words, would have to be the one that said "We make a great Team Valentine" on it.

Date: 2007-02-06 04:02 am (UTC)Also. Why am I not surprised that Airheads has picked up on this. What does it taste like? D:
I may have a tiny, well-controlled addiction for Airheads. I've been sober for 2 years.I want your Valentines. I still need to get out and buy some or just make some, since I won't be giving out many in the first place.

Date: 2007-02-06 09:01 pm (UTC)I saw them on vacation and had to buy them because I was compelled. It was kinda citrus/mango-y, I guess? Iunno. It was orange colored, if that helps.
And now, all that hard work wasted. Shame on... one of us, I'm sure.Bzuh? You want the one I'll be sending you, or the Avatar ones, or my address to send me a valentine, or what? o_Oa *confuzzled*

Date: 2007-02-06 09:07 pm (UTC)Oh, Airheads. You will not suck me back into your pit of tastiness. That is rather odd. Sounds yummy, though.
No, no. XD I mean, I want the box of Valentines. To give people. Because I haven't bought store-made Valentines since like 4th grade and I miss it. D:

Date: 2007-02-06 09:12 pm (UTC)Yes they will. They will because there are four collectable flip-book sticker sets, and I only got the one of Katara.
Which was really the only one I wanted all that badly, but. Not the point.Maybe peach flavored... That would make sense, sorta, 'specially with Momo. Iunno? It's been a while.Ah, right XD Just three bucks at K-mart, and they shouldn't be too hard to find. One hopes, at least.

Date: 2007-02-06 09:26 pm (UTC)Noooooooo. D: I've been so good for so long!
To K-Mart! Where they also apparently have absolutely awful Naruto action figures which I may be tempted to buy, despite the awfulness.

Date: 2007-02-06 09:31 pm (UTC)Well. You could always just buy it for the stickers and then not eat the candy.
Hurrah! And also somewhat awful Avatar action figures, the awful part mostly being that they have three versions of Aang (A++ for WaterTribe!Aang, as seen above, though) and a Random Fire Nation Soldier, but no female characters. *is soooo going to write an angry letter someday*

Date: 2007-02-06 04:32 am (UTC)You don't have to scan them, you can just type in some of that information on the nations. ^______^

Date: 2007-02-06 09:04 pm (UTC)Very true, that. Though I think I may end up scanning 'em anyway,
as revenge for costing me $5.00 a popI mean, since I don't care about them that much. Or at least the culture-y bits. Plus, those sections have extra arts :Ono subject
