Shirts and bags and books

Aaaargh, only half an hour left to update journal, wrrryyyy did I put off that "Make a list of SRS poll links for November plz :Db" thing? DD: Ahem.

Mailed out a couple of shirts today, both of which were more than a teensy bit late -_-a Hopefully I'll get back on track with that. (My excuse for the first is that the transfers had decided to hate me; for the second it's that I kinda don't check my Gmail account all that often :D;;)

On the topic of shirts, I finally got around to finishing the Orange + 75 = Canada design last night at nearly three in the morning while I was waiting for the shirts to dry, hooray! My motivation was actually a white canvas bag I picked up at Hobby Lobby for about $2.50 (plus tax). I figure, if I get it ironed on and decide it looks good, it's another thing I can offer ♥ ...Also, aprons and bandanas, 'cuz Hobby Lobby has those, too. The bag is 13.5"x13.5"x4", so I'm hoping it'll be both stylish and useful once I get the transfer on it. Sadly, I seem to be running low on yellow ink at the moment, which has slowed down the "applying the transfer to the @#$@#$ bag already" initiative. I'll probably be able to get away with making off with the upstairs ink cartridge, though, 'specially since they're the same type of printer. The straps are a bit shorter than I'd like, but they'll do, and then I'll have a nifty new bag, yay!

More importantly, I just finished reading this book last night, and couldn't be more pleased with the entire thing. It's just absolutely beautiful and delicious and warm and alsdjfsldjfadl. Incoherency-inducing. It took me a little while to get past the first few chapters and into the story, but once I did, I didn't regret it a bit. I love the theological theorizing on how gods came/come to exist, and now reccommend it to anyone interested in that, and also in magic cowboys. Be warned (or enticed), there is graphic man-on-man action.

Long story short, I NEED THE OFFICIAL PUBLISHED VERSION, so I can flip to my favorite parts whenever I feel like it, and otherwise re-read it until the pages fall out. Sadly, it costs money DD: But someday, when I have cash, I will buy it!

...On a slightly more random note, I'm roughly two pages into a Meet the Robinsons fic for Lyzz, which I have decided to call (after much debate) A Day in the Life of Lewis Robinson. *is a dweeb*

XD Good choice! Srsly, I love that book like I'm blind, and now I'm terrified that other people won't like it, too and yeah. Just get to the second chapter before you give up, that's all I ask.

Definitely :Db I've just gotten to the part where Cornelius finds Lewis in his lab. Which means the next scene is going to be them trying to figure out what the heck is going on, and then it's going to cut to Wilbur and he has to go tell his dad it's dinner time :DDD I will do that ;)

Um. Not to the best of my knowledge? I suppose I could potentially develope an interest really fast, if I were to attack what of their music I have on my computer, but I can't say that I have an active interest at the moment, no.

Well, that's okay. As long you're not "OMG HAET!1" about them, then I can show you what I wanted to. :D See, I have two friends who are very large fans of them. One of them, who is short and skinny and tiny, apparently has some sort of chemical imbalance that will eventually make her gain a lot of weight or something I dunno I wasn't really listening. Anyway, we were discussing that last night, and somewhere along the way she said, "My chemical imbalance (more words go here but they're not important)" and I laughed and the other girl laughed and we said we would make a t-shirt that said that, based on the new MCR logo, which looks like this (http://a4.vox.com/6a00b8ea067a57dece00ccff83fe44985d-320pi).

I definitely did not mean for that explanation to be that long. Anyway, I saw your mention of t-shirt designs, and felt like showing you the finished design for the shirt we're making. Possibly I have just wasted a great deal of your time with something that is not nearly as interesting or amusing as I thought it was, BUT. I just wanted to share it with someone. ^^;

I knooooooow! It's so awesome and there's loose ends still to tie up and alsdkfjsdlkfjsd ♥♥♥ ...It is my solemn hope that the author will one day expand it into at least one more book, though I'm not holding my breath. In the mean time, I may have to go fichunting.

(Ah, well; it was a thought. And ganbatte!) Now I need to work things out so Lewis can stay in the future :3 Which shouldn't be much of a problem, but there's the issue of what do I do with him in the mean time, so.

Bud, Fritz, and Joe are brothers. Joe is married to Billie. Fritz is married to Petunia, and Tallulah and Laszlo are their children. Cornelius is the (adopted) son of Bud and Lucille and is married to Franny. Gaston and Art are Franny's brothers. And Wilbur, naturally, is the son of Franny and Cornelius. Spike and Dmitri are twins, and no one knows who they're related to. Buster is the dog, Lefty is the butler, and Carl is the robot.

And yeah, I spend about three paragraphs explaining that Wilbur doesn't have a lot of friends because all of the kids at school think his family's weirdness is contagious, and while having your dad actually be your best friend is nice, it's still good to have someone your own age to talk to; after a lot of thought, I decided that Tiny probably could fill the friend quotient pretty well, except that would negate my major reason for bringing Lewis to the future (Wilbur = lonely DD:), so I'm saying that it's also not quite the same as having someone who can come inside for dinner and go to school with you.
