Friends list: I should spend $24.00 USD on a ticket to see Suzanne Vega at a local theater, Y/N?

Question the second!

My Katara costume is now Out Of Date. I have apprx. one month left until Hallowe'en. I should make a new totally hot LOL costume Y/N?

Opinions: re: latest episode of Avatar:

In three words? I loved it.

In more detail:

* I. I kinda love how Sokka has no problem what-so-ever with secret rivers while secret tunnels kinda freak him the heck out.

* KATARA IS NOW CRIMINALLY HOT, OKAY. I mean, not that she wasn't before or anything, but it has now become much more blindingly obvious. Red = good color on her, IMHO.

* ...S-stay flaimin', whut. Asdkfljsdl. I just. aldkjfsfd?

* B-belt = headband. IS ANYONE ELSE HAVING QUAILMAN FLASHBACKS, I ASK YOU. HOW ABOUT OKAGE GIGGLES. ANYONE. ...I kinda wanna make one of those belts for myself now.

* I kinda really love the Fire Nation Propaganda Machine. "Air Nomad Army" lulz. At the same time, I'm really saddened by how much of Fire Nation culture has been lost to time, how much has been eaten up by war efforts. I keep internally drawing parallels to pre-WWII Japan...

* It is can be boogie time naow! *boogies down*

* I really didn't feel the Mai/Zuko love before this episode, okay? I hate to admit it, but I didn't. But now? "I love it when you hate the world." "I don't hate you ♥" "I don't hate you either ♥♥♥" *makeouts!* I have been won over, okay.

* Yeah, it does need more Toph.


I'm also kinda considering scanning that latest Avatar magazine so people who don't otherwise have access to it can read it. With the standard "Buy the damn thing if you can already!" disclaimer, of course. Like with the Tasty Cultural Tidbit books.

Last thing: Ueki Kousuke reference images, zipped and upped to SendSpace, with extra hearts for helendragon. Hopefully there's enough and they'll work?

It would indeed be awesome and fantastic, and I may have to go buy cloth now. Failing that however, I can always go with my fall back plan of Katara's underwear. It's entirely possible that October will be warm enough to do stuff, rly!

Well, you could have a found costume. Just something made up from what you have at home. I'm toying with the idea of being a witch. My high school graduation robe is a deep green and would rock.

I. Honestly don't know, actually. I mean, I've heard some of her stuff, and I like it, but do I like it enough to go to what I can only assume is a concert of hers, presumably alone? It would be supporting a local business (always A+ in my family), but do I really want to spend $24 USD on this when I'm not entirely sure about it? If I'm not willing to go alone, would I be willing to go with someone, and under what circumstances? Decisions, decisions...

X3 That's true! I still like making stuff from scratch, though. And the cool thing about dressing as Avatar characters for Hallowe'en is that I can "recycle" the costume for anime conventions and stuff.

$24 for a concert doesn't sound all that bad to me. I think you should go. It would be a new experience and you can tell us all about it.

Making stuff from scratch is timeconsuming yet gratifying. I know what you mean. Do what you want.

Do the concerts at anime conventions count? Because if they don't, I think I've only been to one rock concert and it was for oldies rock. >.< I live in a place with a -major- place for concerts (as in, Britney Spears, Spice Girls, Smashing Pumpkins play here) and I've never been to one of those concerts. I've had to deal with them. The pavillion is right next to the public library and, while they do prevent non-library going people from parking there, it can be hard to get there.

It actually was an awesome episode. The Aang/Katara dance was actually my favorite scenes just because the martial arts moves.

And I'm totally agreeing with you. We need more Toph.
