Aaargh, haet %#^$%E#!! tornado warnings. They always show up at a bad time and then take forever to be over with.

Which is to say, I was trapped in my basement - one of the non-entertaining rooms of my basement - for about an hour this evening while we waited for a tornado to completely miss us. It wasn't all terrible; that is, I did watch most of The Point, reminding me once again that I need to get a copy of it on the computer and then possibly online if it's not there already, 'cuz it's a piece of my childhood that I think needs sharing. (Harry Nilsson's songs = fun and enjoyable, do want full copies.)

On the more plus-y side of tonight, I did order a copy of Larklight (paperback) at my local Waldenbooks before coming to the lab tonight, and I'm currently downloading the first episode of Gurren Lagann via Veoh. Good god, huge file size +_+ So no, friends list, you no longer have to nag me in that respect. ...Mind, I'll still probably try to finish Tokyo Majin and/or Nanoha A's before watching more than one episode, but still. I am downloading with intent to watch, you have done your job.

And I think I'll close tonight with a celebration of my faith. By which I mean a dorky one-panel comic about an equally dorky priest.



Definitely not the best angles ever seen on a podium, and it could use a good inking, but not terrible and does have some decent Catholic humor, so I'm satisfied. I think. ...I will go and hide now, though.


I close by saying that my plans for Hallowe'en now involve me taking too many screencaps of Aunt Wu so I can get a better idea of how to imitate her hair and costume.

I brought it up this morning? There's still some debating going on, but I think it might possibly happen. Worst case scenario is either I take the bus or (shudder) Dad drives me and looks at antiques, which would put me on his schedule :/ Crossing my fingers, and will ask again when I get home.

...I should probably look up bus routes and schedules about now, shouldn't I. And last I was aware, Mom was advocating for me getting the car and my little brother finding some other way to get to his babysitting gig, so here's hoping! Though yes, if I do take the bus, picking up would be awesome and ♥-worthy.

That's one way to make people pay attention. I'd fail if they asked about the sermon by the priest (sometimes deacon). They usually go in one ear and out the other. ^^; If they are really interesting or memorable, that's another story.

XD Our priest tends to include a joke in every sermon. Unfortunately, the jokes are usually only poorly related at best, which ends up dragging my opinion of him through the dirt and then some.

Aunt Wu is the fortune teller in season one of Avatar. I have something of a soft spot for her, especially now that I'm shoving my cynicism and skepticism back out the window.
