[Content Note: Racism, misogyny]
* A lone black woman (deputy) walks into a supposedly empty school after dark to investigate a 911 call. Why am I not even remotely surprised that she died almost immediately?
* So apparently Ethan started dating Danny to assess whether or not he was a threat? I predict exactly ninety billion fanfics about this/on this theme.
* Apparently they're actually using more wolf pack hierarchy than "alpha" in the show now. Good to know...? (One of my fifth grade teachers was basically obsessed with wolves and sled dogs. Roughly half our curriculum with her revolved around them. I know a thing or two about actual pack dynamics, okay.)
* Wow, my theory about Cora and Boyd bonding and thus Cora being hit pretty damn hard by his death/murder was spot on. Go, me!
* Welp, so much for "not evil". I now fully expect her to be dead by the end of the season as well. Seriously, it would be really frikkin' nice if Derek could have a girlfriend who wasn't a tragic part of his life history.
* Banshee. Lydia is a Banshee?! Well, I guess that makes sense with how she kept showing up where people died and so forth. And I guess thered strawberry blond% hair could be code for Irish heritage? Though I'm wondering now, what with Peter and all, if she can "call" people back from the dead... Fingers crossed for Erica and Boyd!
* Hooray, Sheriff Stilinski finally knows! For about two minutes before the Darach runs off with him in her clutches. Well, it's a start.
* I am secretly pleased that Stiles needed math tutoring. And that he got math tutoring from a woman. Math is usually a very male gendered subject (see also: science, engineering, medicine about thirty years ago), and Teen Wolf has so far attributed more math skills to women and girls than men and boys. Yay for breaking stereotypes occasionally!
% I'm never sure how to spell that when it's not referring to a person. I mean, I know I add an "e" to the end when it's used as a noun in place of girl/woman, and I leave the "e" off when it's used as a noun in place of [person of other gender], but what about when I'm referring to their actual hair? Do I go with the gender of the person it's attached to, or do I leave it non-gendered? Grammarians, help me!
More commentary after the episode, I just wanted to get this out now. Now with more commentary!
