Teen Wolf 3x10

I cannot sleep so apparently I am writing this? Wev.
I learned some very important social things in sixth grade. Among them was not to trust someone who takes hostages. And that is exactly what Jennifer Blake (Julia Bacari(sp?)) is doing here, both with Sheriff Stilinski and Cora's health.
1) JB will have no reason at all to reveal the whereabouts of Sheriff Stilinski once she is safe. In fact, she basically has negative reasons to do so, mainly because she wants to sacrifice him for power. Nor does she have any reason to help Cora. Hell, she may even be the reason Cora's sick in the first place!
2) Even if she did follow through on the agreement to "help" "find" Sheriff Stilinski and to heal Cora, she would probably only continue her killing spree. I understand wanting to save people important to you, but again: She had no reason to help you.
Here are some possible solutions to the Missing Sheriff and Sick Cora problems that don't involve relying on a demonstratively evil person who will have no actual reason to "help" once she gets what she wants:
1) Anyone remember Doctor Alan Deaton? I seem to recall him being pretty savvy at this whole Druid/magical healing whatsit. The only reason I can think of for him not being able to help is if the person who made Cora sick (poisoned her?) added a condition that only they could cure her. Which, if it's JB, there is still no reason to trust her to do the right thing after she's safe, and if it's not JB, Cora's still up shit creek without a paddle.
2) I seem to recall a number of our beloved characters have a pretty keen sense of smell. Perhaps they could use this to track the missing Sheriff?
2a) It's also possible that they don't have the training for this (see: bloodhound tracking episode of Mythbusters) and it's a lot more difficult than you might think to track someone by scent. Guess who probably does have (access to) trained animals who can do this? THE POLICE.
3) Even if both the dogs and werewolfy noses are a bust, there are still some very clever people on the show who have already deduced several critical locations. As far as any of them know, either the Sheriff is already dead, or he probably has a few days to go. Plenty of time to find him!
I have no particular idea what to do with JB instead of helping her escape, but at this point I don't care very much. She's already evil, death will likely soon follow. The idealist in me would love to see her turned in to the police and face the law for what she's done, but the realist in me acknowledges that there's little to no evidence to pin her to her crimes at this point, even if they could find a way to keep her locked up. The other options are: A) kill her, B) turn her in to the Alpha Pack, and C) let her go/get her to safety.
You already know why I don't like C. B would probably get some nice perks of the Alphas helping to track down Sheriff Stilinski and Melissa McCall, as well as possibly getting Ms. Morrell(sp?) to help Cora out, but unless thoroughly negotiated (and possibly even then) has a high probability of getting our main characters further entangled with them. (A part of me also wants to remind us that at least two of the remaining Alpha Pack members totally qualify for Dante's ninth circle, having violently betrayed those who were supposed to be under their care.) It's still the one I would be leaning towards, in that whole "get one problem to solve another" way, even if it's only partly. Option A would also be somewhat practical, provided they have a good way to dispose of the body. No guarantees where it would leave our main characters with regards to the Alpha Pack, aside from the fact that nothing was negotiated ahead of time and the AP would probably appreciate that JB is dead.
More general episode reactions:
* I am totally stoked that someone thought to explain what was up with the backup generators. Mere seconds after the thought occurred to me, even!
* Melissa McCall is totally fucking badass. Full stop.
* Also she knows Peter's back, so that's a thing.
* Speaking of Peter, it'sgood interesting to note that he cares about Cora.
* Also, the "Peter's story about Derek and Paige was really about himself and Paige" theory is just about completely debunked at this point. Which is a shame, because I was rather fond of that theory. Though it does lend credence to my own pet theory that Kate noticed Derek's eye color change, knew the significance of it, and used that to "justify" mass murder. (My backup idea if the Peter Is Talking About Himself theory had proven (does prove) correct was that either the magic that changes werewolf eye color decided it was Derek's fault that his family was murdered, or, more likely IMO, Derek was so convinced of it himself that he basically subconsciously willed his eye color to change. (Also, and I know it's nine episodes late, but how telling is it that Derek chose to get a permanent reminder of his family that involved burning himself? Pretty damn telling, I would say! I gathered that the rest of Sterek fandom was basically exploding over the wink, but the tat thing is what caught my attention.))
* I'm interested by the epinephrin --> stronger werewolves reaction, since I'm mostly familiar with it as used in epi-pens to counteract serious allergic reactions. I'll have to look it up on Wikipedia so I can better understand the logic (or possible lack thereof).
