This works out poorly for blind people, unless humans don't lose audible communication with this cloud bubble trick. It's great for learning new languages, since you can see how individual words are pronounced by actual speakers, and puns tend to be a lot more obvious. The real amusing parts are when, in the presence of youngsters, all curse words turn into grawlixes ("grawlix" being the actual name of those cartoon scribbles you get in the newspaper to replace swearing) and incomprehensible sound effects. A new coming-of-age rite begins to celebrate when a youngster begins to actually understand the words underneath the grawlixes, though whether it's celebrated at the early stages (the first understanding of "minor" swears like damn) or when the youngster finally understands all Seven Words You Can't Say On TV is the subject of no small debate.
