I am currently a highly sought-after commodity!

...An undecided Democrat supporter in Iowa who is currently planning to caucus.

Current plan is to do an internet search for who's polling best among Black women and then research the policies of the top three contenders. (I'd refine my search further, but I don't think most pollsters refine theirs farther than race + one-of-two-genders, and it's Work With What I've Got O'Clock.) I should be able to find someone I like out of that pool.

(No news from the doctor yet. They didn't actually give me an ETA when I left on Friday. I've been assuming it'll be by the end of the week or thereabouts based on that being about how long it took last time, but I guess I'll have to see. Or possibly call and ask for more details, but bleh, calling.)

I am not decided decided, and the Democratic primary here isn't till March anyway (not that I have any idea if I'm even registered Democratic, I'm pretty sure I picked a smaller and more lefty party, but it's an open primary and I know what my voting strategy in November is), but like

Biden and Sanders are apparently the top two among Black women, FML. (Biden in age 35+, Sanders in 18-34.) Harris is third-ish(?), followed by Warren.

My dad's a Warren fan (probably followed closely by Sanders; he was a huge Sanders fan in '16, but may have gone for Warren if she'd been running), as is I think the County Supervisor who lives across the back. Meanwhile, County Supervisor's wife is pulling for Klobuchar. (Dad and the Supervisor spouses are white, though the Supervisor spouses adopted and raised a number of Black kids.)

Urgh. I may hold my decision until it gets closer to caucus time.

I mean there's no way Biden could be a disimprovement, but if we're going to break the record for oldest president at inauguration again, we could also break the record for youngest woman inaugurated???

(I've been leaning heavily Warren and hoping her running mate will be Castro for a while)

Seriously, whoever the eventual Democratic candidate is, they've got my vote. Age is a concern for me for physical and mental health reasons, but if the candidate thought about it, they could also potentially use their own age to push for more social programs for the elderly.

I've also been leaning vaguely Warren-ish, but have told Mrs Supervisor that I'd look into Klobuchar, and I've been thinking vaguely about Yang as well.

Yeah, I think the poll I was seeing was on the older side, anyway, so that might explain some of it. I don't know what sort of luck I'd have finding a newer one, though 😑

Biden and Sanders are both older than 45. Warren is less than four years younger. And ~~I believe~~ Five Thirty Eight assures me those are the frontrunners. (The fourth one in the poll graph on the front page is Buttigieg.) So.
