So naturally, the very next day after finally finishing some masks I've had folded and pinned for, oh, fourteen months now, I hear that the CDC is recommending we all switch to surgical masks instead.

I'm going to keep working on my cloth masks, in part to get them done, in part because I've also seen a suggestion that we pair surgical masks with cloth masks over them, in part because we may be able to switch back to cloth at a point in the future, and in part because they make pretty decent scarves, actually. (Cover your nose and mouth! Warm outside air before it enters your body! And they don't slip off your face at a moment's notice! I am A Fan.) Not sure yet if I'll go through with offering them with my ear savers, since they're apparently Not As Good Now, but there's no harm in holding onto them anyway.

I also decided to take a look for a place to buy surgical masks online; I found some, and they seem to be decently priced, but good grief, twenty dollars for shipping! I'll have to do some more thinking. And maybe see if my parents and/or coworkers want to go in on some masks or something.

also, cloth masks over surgical masks hurts nothing and (assuming not plain solid color) looks nicer than surgical mask alone
